Although I have stopped hunting jewels from the past, there are still some that I have managed to collect but yet to share, and so it is time to add onto my 2013 collection with more enchanting beauties. Just look at this delightful pair of opera couple from AXA Insurance, absolutely captivating! The elegant panther pair from Cartier is also my favorite and thanks to a collector I knew back in 2015 who generously passed them on to me. I do hope one day she will be able to get back to her hobby and that we could once again share all the beautiful treasures together.
Next we have all the way from Hong Kong is Standard Chartered bamboo set in red and silver (only recently managed to complete after so many years) and another attractive set Citi Private Bank which has lovely floral prints even the inner packet itself; A very satisfying trade indeed. Medialink and Procomp both using the same beaded floral piece which I really adore, especially the feel of those colorful tiny beads. UBS popular flower piece with pink blossom is as sweet and eye catching. Another Singapore Bank, OCBC Premier also used a little floral on their simple gold and red pair. Don't miss out the other floral designs from my 2013 main page (click here).
Xixili decided to go back to basic with a pretty rare design of the olden days undergarment 肚兜 “dudou”, or bellyband, a piece of cloth that covers one’s belly, with the sole practical purpose to keep the chest and stomach area warm. I have been eyeing on this sexy pair for some time and finally traded them back last year.
Love Bonito is also quite a lovely set and has a sweet light purple piece to match it's red counterpart. I only have their floral series for year 2012, 2013 & 2015 (click here) but I do know that they switched to a more plain and branded feel 2016 onward.
MEET BO THE GOLD FISH
I still remember that it was love at first sight when I saw Chatime 4pc set on facebook. Maybe it was the purple theme that caught my attention or maybe it was just the very unique design that you don't normally see on red packets. And so it was something special indeed, it was a collaboration between Chatime and Bo&Friends. Bo the gold fish is the creation of Kamwei and there is a story behind this adorable little gold fish.
You can find Bo's journey at his homepage (click here).

Next is Hurix's chubby fishes that looks a little like mini whales. The illustration is unique and has my vote for originality. Another fish family member, the three intelligent dolphins from Mamil having fun in a beautiful park with their 3pc set. The golden shades continue with Toshiba Pala Chan merry duo and Courts four little wriggling friends; Scroll down to find more golden packets from Shangri-La, Mammoth Empire as well as Lavender below.
~ THE SNAKES ~
Courts is yellow all the way, using only silvery hot stamping to outline it's four little happy reptiles. Even smaller is Creative Thumbprint but don't get fooled cause this pair of red and yellow fortune snakes are not what they seem. Just click on the picture and/or follow the link, it's a long slippery surprise!
More wriggling snakes from Ingram Micro Cisco which like Chatime above is also using a pink-purplish color tone, they are just as adorable as the others like Great Eastern with their pink floral and butterflies, OCBC Mighty Savers with the classical "snake and ladder", Shihlin Snacks kiddos are having so much fun playing and sliding down the 2013 formed snake and Singapore National Heritage Board three adorable snakes representing their three main heritage.
Astro Ulala has these cute chubby snakes bouncing all over it's 10pc set. The theme Ulala adapted from our local Malay language "ular" which means snakes brings an even more meaningful CNY tagline. Next we have some really blue friends, The Smurfs and they are looking cool with their 3pc front and back matching set.
~ New Kids On The Block ~
Kids are such a fun and joyful theme, from Singapore we have NETS and Fairprice while locally we have Vivo and Petronas which are all adorable whether they are sets, pairs or just singles like the above multi racial celebration, each children in their respective traditional costumes and not forgetting what a lovely 2P they are too, the perfect matching of the red and green packets!
Dancing lions
Dong Dong Qiang 咚咚锵 here comes the lions; Besides Petronas above, Ah Huat is happily dancing in one of it's 5pc set that is bigger in size using slightly thicker paper. Next is Fahrenheit with a pair of colorful lions while Sunshine northern lions are such an attractive pair, beautiful! Check out their series that I have collected over the years, though I am still missing the 2010 set of four and that I have not actually seen their 2011 and 2012 designs, the rest from 2014 up to 2018 are as below. Accept for their adorable Sunshine girl and boy pair in 2015, the rest are all the same size and same flap shape.
Just a few here and there from Hong Kong and below is a late addition, EPS with it's red hot-stamping butterflies and birdies duo follow by the sweet Sulwhasoo in peach as well as the sleeping teddy from Mannings (a.k.a Guardian). Also joining the small HK party is Marco Polo Hotel and Galaxy Macau glittering peacocks.
We have a chubby sumo guy lion dancing for Nippon Paint while Kini Chinese boy is also having a blast performing his lion dance upfront with a beautiful Chinese scenery illustration as the background. I quite like those flying cranes. Don't forget to check out the four cute little lions from Refine Printing below.
Julie's is going environmental friendly with a brown paper packet and a meaningful tag line "share the love".
Single and Beautiful
Single and Beautiful
Here comes the single ladies from Shangri-la and Deutsche Bank, both so elegant and JP Morgan and Mammoth Empire looking classy with their snake theme.
Lavender collaborated with Chi Heng Foundation (CHF), a Hong Kong-based non-governmental organisation dedicated to addressing children impacted by AIDS. The 3pc set is standing tall and meaningful in their different artistic illustration of the spring onion plant, the 'loving' wriggling snake and the blossom tree. Next is Singtel and it's adorable Hi Buddy mascot boy doing it's rendition of the snake in Chinese calligraphy style.
Below we have the 12 zodiac designs from Ingram Micro IBM, Nestle and Red Box while Refine Printing used the year 2013 to form an adorable snake accompanied by four different color lion dancing. The adorable snakes from Liansin and Alpo while Popular, both Singapore and Malaysia also had different snakes theme. Not forgetting some of the cute kids design from Each a Cup, Fernleaf, Xepa and Yamaha.
More F&B
Adding on a couple more sets we have Oloiya, although very simple and plain this 5pc set is better quality while Lian Hua Seng Happy Rice has more colors with floral backgrounds, thinner paper and still looking pretty interesting. Which do you prefer?
From East Malaysia we have Lian Hua Happy Rice above and Cash Sweep below, comparing both 2013 and 2014 years where they have the same size packets, they grew bigger 2015 onward (grin).
